Singapore is known for its ease of entry, there are few visa restrictions.
A Singapore visa is not an immigration pass. It is a pre-entry permission for the holder of a valid Singapore visa to travel to, and seek entry, into Singapore.
The grant of an immigration pass will be determined by the ICA officers at the point of entry. The period of stay granted is shown on the visit pass endorsement given on your passport and it is not tied to the validity of your visa.
If your travel document is issued by one of the countries below, you will need a visa to enter Singapore.
|Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
|People’s Republic of China (PRC)
For the minority who require a visa, processing time is 1-3 working days and can be done at:
- Nearest Singapore overseas mission
- More than 330 authorized visa agents
- Online via the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) website
From 10 Oct 2021, all foreign visitors arriving in Singapore via air will receive an electronic Visit Pass (e-Pass) through email in lieu of inked endorsement stamps on the passport. The e-Pass will contain details of the visit pass granted, including the maximum number of day(s) of stay and the last day of stay allowed in Singapore.
